Today Alive09 kicked off with a bang (literally--look at the photos of Skillet!). I cannot believe it is here again, and I can't be happier to see what God has in store for Alive-goers this year. If today was any indication, we are in for an incredible weekend.

Several of the New Artist Talent Search finalists were able to perform, as well as many other new artists, from Sunny with a High (last year's New Artist Talent Search winners) to Tenth Avenue North (2009's Dove Award winner for New Artist of the Year). It is always amazing to see this area come to life both on stage and off. Already there were thousands of people enjoying basketball, volleyball, swimming, camping, and more. And in possibly one of the best shows I've seen at Alive, Skillet finished off the evening with an incredible show, filled with excitement and pyrotechnics.

It is apparent that this year that Clay's Park is ready to rock. Check out the photos!
