Volunteer Job Descriptions

Retail Positions

Shower Attendant: Volunteers would be responsible for selling shower wristbands, and checking customer wristbands as they enter the shower area.

ALIVE Store: Volunteers sell Festival T-Shirts & Apparel in the main vending tent. *This area is typically staffed with volunteers with prior experience at the Alive Festival or by referral.

ALIVE Food Tent: Volunteers will help sell and prepare food in the Alive Food Tent located at the Amphitheatre.

Main Ticket Gate: Volunteers sell wristbands at the main ticket gate of the festival.

Vending Tent Artist Booths: Artist Booth Volunteers sell artist merchandise in the Main Vending Tent each day before, during and after their performances. Depending on needs may also assist with artist booths at either the Beach or Wood Stage.

Camping Positions

Camping Traffic Control Team: Will assist with the Camping Placement Teams on maintaining traffic flow as customers arrive at the event and make sure everyone is going in the right direction. Once event begins will work the Alive Camping Information Centers.

Campsite Placement Team: Are responsible for assisting in placing our camper’s into their campsites upon arrival. Once event begins will work the Alive Camping Information Centers.

Security Positions

Security: A Security volunteer will work in one of three areas: Amphitheater Security, Main Gate Security & Beach Area Security.

Technical Positions

Fork Lift Operator: This area is typically staffed with volunteers with prior experience at Alive Festival or by referral.

Tram Driver: Volunteers drive customers throughout the park during the festival. *This area is typically staffed with volunteers with prior experience at Alive Festival or by referral.

Transportation: Transportation volunteers drive artists and speakers to and from where they need to go. This includes both off-site and on-site transportation. *This area is typically staffed with volunteers with prior experience at the Alive Festival or by referral.

Stage Crew: Stage Crew Volunteers can work at Amphitheater Main Stage or Beach Stage. They assist in unloading & loading band gear and setting it up for the bands performance. *Must be 18 years or older. This area is typically staffed with volunteers with prior experience at Alive Festival or by referral. This job also requires much physical demand.

Tram Assistant: Assists Tram Drivers with Traffic and Tram safety.

Miscellaneous Positions

Setup & Tear Down Crew: Set-up & Tear Down volunteers help get the festival grounds ready for Alive and assist tearing down after the event is over. Job functions such as: stage set-up, table & chair set-up and numerous other include: tearing down stages, chair & tent removal, collecting trash among numerous other functions. Many people are needed in this area, and all are welcome to help. This job can require much physical demand.

Parking Attendant: Volunteers assist Customers park their cars upon arrival to the Alive Festival.

Sanitation Crew: Sanitation volunteers are responsible for trash removal and keeping the festival grounds clean throughout the festival.
